Imagine That
In my browsing, and re-shelving, of books at the store where I work, I was pleasantly surprised to see the book "Opening My Wings to Fly: What Animals Have Taught Me" by Tera Thomas. I have a particular interest in this book, and was tickled to see not just one copy, but two on the shelf. Hopefully someone will buy them.

BTW, I have since designed another book cover for someone which was also completely altered before publishing. In fact the very name of the book was changed by the publisher, so even I probably would not have recognized it on a shelf.
