Alaska

I returned from a cruise through the inside passage of Alaska. It was wonderful and very beautiful. Here are just a few of my pictures.

Cruise ships in Seattle Washington were we sailed from. Our ship, the Golden Princess, is the one with the tall back end.

My sister and I enjoying una caffe in la piazza.

La mia famiglia.

Orso Biondo dice "È freddo in Alaska". (Orso Biondo says "It's cold in Alaska".)

Entering Steven's Passage.

Young Humpback whale breaching in Juneau Alaska.

Clouded mountains outside of Skagway Alaska.

White Pass & Yukon Rail train. An excursion I took that took us from sea level to 3000 feet above sea level. It is the steepest train tracks in the United States.

A mountain stream from the White Pass & Yukon Trail train.

A marker along the White Pass & Yukon Rail.

Tracey's Arm, a glacial fjord.

Tracey's Arm. Because of all the floating ice, we were not able to get close to the glacier. That will have to wait for another trip.

My sister-in-law warming up with some coffee after being outside on deck.

Another cloud covered mountain along the Tracey's Arm fjord. Certainly not the view I will have from Virginia Beach General Hospital.

This is the docks at Ketchikan Alaska. It was usual that we had 3 other ships at any of the ports were we docked . It made for a ship parking lot.
